Betty Jean Mc Elveen

Memorial services for Mrs. Betty Jean McElveen were held Friday,
September 12, 2008 at 2pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1201
Mohawk Dr. W. Columbia, SC 29169 (794-7777) with Pastors David Day,
Paul Allen and Jody Flowers officiating. The family received
friends at the church immediately following the service.  Memorial
donations may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church.

On September 10,2008 Betty unexpectedly passed away to be with her
Heavenly Father. She touched many people with her life and always
enjoyed making new friends. She loved to work in her yard and had a
great ability to grow beautiful flowers. She loved her husband, son
and daughter in-law, and her stepdaughter but especially adored her
three grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Austin Birch
and Lilly May Cox Birch.  She is survived by her husband, Winston
McElveen, West Columbia; a son, Mark Waller and wife, Mary, W.
Columbia; a step daughter, Fran Gray and husband, Charles;
five brothers, Austin Birch, Fred Birch, Joe Birch, Donald
Birch, and Ronald Birch; and a sister, Francis Lynch.  She is also
survived by three grandsons,  Ben, Christopher and Daniel Waller.
