Winston Lee Mc Elveen

 

Mr. Winston Lee McElveen, 73, of West Columbia, died Monday, January 5, 2009. Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 11:00am at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1132 Gunter Circle, West Columbia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 120 Wall Street, 19th Floor,  New York, NY 10005, the American Heart Association, 520 Gervais Street, Suite 300, Columbia , SC 29201  or Trinity United Methodist Church, 1132 Gunter Circle, West Columbia, SC 29169. South Carolina Cremation & Burial Society, 800-758-9115 is assisting the family.   Mr. McElveen was born in Florence County, a son of the late Manning and Fannie McElveen and was a  retired as Regional Vice President of Bank of America. Winston was a devoted father and husband, but by far, his most cherished times were being PaPa to his grandsons.   Mr. McElveen was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Betty McElveen, one brother, Hubert McElveen and one sister, Rea McElveen. Surviving is his daughter, Fran (Charles) Gray of Florence, stepson Mark (Mary) Waller, and three grandsons, Ben, CC, and Daniel Waller of Columbia. Also surviving are two brothers, Clifton (Linda) McElveen and Linwood (Mary) McElveen of Columbia.
