Ms. Wendy Carol Machin, 41, of Salt Lake City, UT, died Monday, December 20, 2010 in Lexington, SC.? The daughter of? Gary F. Machin and Carol L. Pattison Machin of Rawlings, MD, she was born in Cumberland, MD on July 7, 1969 in Cumberland, MD.

Wendy was a 1987 graduate from Valley High School in Lonaconing, MD. She then earned her AA degree, cum laude, at Allegheny College, Cumberland, MD. Subsequently, she had earned a BA degree in computer science and was working on her Master?s degree.? She had been employed in the Information Technology Dept. of Inter Mountain Health System, Salt Lake City.? Previously, she had worked in the IT Dept. Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, MD.

Wendy spent her last days battling ovarian cancer at the home of her brother John and his wife Jeanna in Lexington, SC. There was a private service for the family members prior to Wendy?s cremation. SC Cremation & Burial Society, Graniteville, SC is assisting the family.

?In addition to her parents, Wendy is survived by, three children; Greg Morris, Heaven Morris and Katie Furlano, all of Salt Lake City, two brothers; Gary F. (Monica)? Machin LaVale, MD and John W. (Jeanna) Machin, Lexington, SC and her special friend and life partner, Richard Haag, Salt Lake City paternal ?grandparents; William K. and Doris J. Machin, Rawlings, MD and maternal grandparents; John & Evelyn Pattison, Western Port, MD. She is also survived by a nephew, Travis Hammons and a niece, Megan Machin.
