On October 2, 2013 Marian Speares of Anderson, SC passed away in Columbia, SC. She went peacefully into the arms of her heavenly father and entered into her eternal life. A Memorial Service and celebration of life will take place on Saturday, October 5TH, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Boulevard Baptist Church. Family will receive friends following the service. SC Cremation Society, Lexington, is assisting the family. Memorial donations may be made to Boulevard Baptist Church, 700 Boulevard, Anderson , SC 29621 or to Alzheimers research. Marian, born September 21st, 1929, was a dedicated Mother, wife, and sister to her loving family and friends. She was a cancer survivor and fought many years with Alzheimer’s. Her spirited personality carried her through the many wonderful relationships nurtured at the Garden House in Anderson and most recently with the loving and caring staff at Harbor Chase in Columbia, SC. She worked as secretary in administration at TL Hanna High School for almost 30 years. She was a devoted charter member at Boulevard Baptist church and loved her work with the children in the nursery there for many years. She had a beautiful smile, loved to laugh and lived a full and happy life enjoying many years of fun trips with family and friends at Edisto Beach, SC and holiday gatherings were very special to her. She will be greatly missed by all. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn S. Speares and daughter Glenda Speares Jones as well as four sisters and one brother.    She is survived by a son, Steve (Sylvia) Speares, Chapin, SC; a sister, Mildred Frances Hulme, Mt.
