Edward Owen Frakes

Mr. Edward Owen Frakes, 79, of Aiken, died September 27, 2013 at the Charlie Norwood VAMC, Augusta, GA. SC Cremation Society, Lexington, is assisting the family.   A son of the late Howard Frakes and Crystal I. Miller Frakes, he was born and raised in Laconia, Indiana. Her served in the US Army for ten years, then worked as a forest ranger and then as a crane rigger for the Jeff Boat Company. He was a member of Fountain of Life Fellowship.   He is survived by his former wife and current partner, Janie Wiley, Aiken; two daughters, Katherine Hayes and Robin McCowan, both of Aiken; two sons, Dale Frakes and Tom Frakes, both of Aiken and two brothers, Noel Frakes and Max Frakes, both of Indiana. He is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.   A memorial service, with military honors  will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2013 at 6:30pm at the Fountain of Life Fellowship, 2799 Whiskey Rd. Aiken, SC 29803.
