Deacon John W. “Jack” Harrington, age 83, at rest October 17, 2013. Loving husband of Janet (nee Venturelli), beloved father of Jack (Ninfa) Harrington, Maureen Harrington, Mark (Rose) Harrington, Jeff (Karen) Fantozzi, Marion (Mark) Knoblich and Steven Harrington, proud grandfather of John (Anne), Ninfa (Val), Danielle (Carlos), Steven, Donny, Shannon, Fara, Timothy, Hailey, Dawn, Amy, Laurel, John and Peter and great-grandfather of Jack, Charlie, Lia Bee, Brady, Evelyn, Lia Faith and Natalia. Jacks love of serving touched people in many areas throughout his life. He was a fireman in North Riverside, Riverside and Stickney, a paramedic, a CPR instructor, a Catholic deacon and chaplain. He also served in prison ministry and Special Religious Development, Archdiocese of Chicago (SPRED). Visitation Monday, October 21st, 3pm to 9pm at Mater Christi Church, 24th Street and 10th Avenue, North Riverside, IL 60546. Funeral Mass Tuesday, October 22nd, 11am at Mater Christi Church, North Riverside. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
