James Theodore McCracken October 18, 1944 – August 24, 2013 Services 9:00 a.m. September 4, 2013 Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, Washington James was born and raised in Oil City Pennsylvania. He joined the Army July 3, 1963 and served until July 1, 1966. While in the Army he met and married Donna Powell on June 11, 1966. For their honeymoon they traveled to the Okefenokee Swamp to look for Gators. After leaving the Army they lived briefly in Pennsylvania then moved to Seattle. Donna’s family had advised of job opportunities in the Seattle area. Jim and Donna had two children, Dana and Lee. He worked various jobs at Boeing, drove a truck for Goodwill and then spent over 30 years working as an accountant in the insurance industry. He loved to watch Westerns, do puzzles and work with plastic canvas. He was an active member of Southcenter Community Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Mary Sopher, Stepfather, Johnny Sopher, brothers Raymond and Russell McCracken. He is survived by his wife, Donna of Renton, Daughter and Son-in-law, Dana and Kevin Heine of Hillsboro Oregon, Son and Daughter-in-law, Lee and Peggy of Renton, Grandsons Peter and Kyle Heine of Hillsboro, Oregon.
