Gilbert Charles Stockton was born on January 4, 1932 and left us on January 5, 2014 at the age of 82.

Gilbert Charles Stockton will be greatly missed but always alive in our hearts.

He was a devoted husband, father, grand father, brother, and friend. He was predeceased by his wife Essie Stockton, and Has several children Robert Stockton of Norwich CT, Tammy Harrell of Orlando FL, Amanda Caley of Orlando FL, Larry Stockton, John Stockton, Ruth Stockton, Rose Stockton, Ann Stockton, Lorraine Stockton, Florance Stockton all of CT. He has several grand children Melinda Trask of Jewett City CT, Solita House of Jewett City CT, Victoria Stockton of Norwich CT, Charles Stockton of Norwich CT,Steven Harrell JR of Orlando FL, Mistic Caley of Orlando FL,  Cordell Caley of Orlando FL, Kaspar Caley of Orlando FL, and seven great grand children of CT. A daughter in law Trista Stockton of Norwich CT and two son in laws Steven harrell and Scott Caley of Orlando FL

He worked as the head custodian at Ledyard High School before retiring.  He was funny and loving he would help any one in need. He loved all animals big and small I remember one year back I believe it was the blizzard of 78 we had so much birthday cake left and a family of racoons come up on the porch and he was feeding them the birthday cake that little family cam back every day for a week to eat.
