Jose Lorenzo Castillo

Jose "Joe" Lorenzo Castillo, 85, passed away Sunday morning , January 12, 2014 at his home in Tomball, Texas. Jose "Joe" Castillo was born September 05, 1928 to Seferino Castillo and Patricia Castillo born in San Antonio, Texas, the oldest of 6 children.

Jose "Joe" Lorenzo Castillo served in the United States Army. He met his beautiful bride, Dolores Perez, from Fargo N. Dakota and they married in April 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. He became a widower in November 1977 and 9 years later remarried in the Spring to Bertha Navarro from Devine, Texas.

Jose "Joe" Castillo was blessed with 7 children and 7 step-children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He retired from Kelly Air-Force base in San Antonio, Texas in 1990, he was an avid baseball sports enthusiasts and loved fishing and hunting.

Funeral services will be begin at 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at The Way Church located at 24418 I-45 North Spring, Texas 77386 with Pastor Matt Woodfill officiating. Burial will follow at VA Cemetery "Houston National VA Cemetery" 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, Texas 77038 at 2:30pm. The family will greet friends from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2014. Flowers at the church address located above. 

In lieu of flowers we will be accepting donations to Gloria's Guest Cottage for Seniors in Tomball, Texas where we are honoring the life of Jose "Joe" Castillo and furthering the service to individuals with Alzheimers, Dementia and Seniors.
