Gerald “Jerry” Francis Cole, 63, of Gaston, died peacefully at home on Friday January 10, 2014. Funeral services will be private.
A son of Mrs. Gladys Mae Benson Cole and the late Francis Virgil Cole, he was born on August 7, 1950 in Waterbury, CT. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard
Jerry’s career in the automobile industry included owning dealerships that covered New Hampshire to South Carolina with his most recent dealership being Cole’s Auto Sales in Gaston. His love of the car business was only second to his love of telling stories about his adventures in the car business. Jerry’s quick-witted humor was appreciated by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, one sister, three children and six grandchildren.
