Lisa & I were "green" Navy nurses together many years ago at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD & room mates with a fun group of ladies in Gaithersburg, MD. I will always remember her gorgeous blonde locks & trim figure. Safe travels on this next journey! Pat

Lisa was a fellow Navy Nurse Corps Officer - both of us ER Trauma gals. We were stationed in Naval Hospital Subic Bay Phillipines! We had many adventures there - She truly a exceptional Nurse and great friend to our family. My husband always wanted Lisa at our table at the O'Club. Her laughter was infectious. Our lives continued to cross through the years into retirement. I purchased an RV and began my travels . . . . Lisa soon joined the family of gypsies that traveled in her RV this wonderful country that we so honorably served. What a honor to share this love of the open road, adventure and reliving Navy stories! I send my deepest love to Lisa's family - and celebrate with those angels that really love RVing. She was a leader in Gods eyes way before she traveled homeward. Blessings to all she loved!
Aloha my friend, Mel

Memories of Lisa

I had the honor of working for Lisa while assigned to USNH Guam. She was my Director of Nursing Services, a friend and a mentor. So many wonderful memories...breakfast together on a weekend at a local diner while my husband talked stocks with her, the rickshaw ride together in Hong Kong while my husband ran beside us to snap the photo - we couldn't stop laughing. Our condolences to her family and everyone she touched, with fond memories of a wonderful friend.

Sincerely,

We will miss you!

Lisa was so many things in her life - but most of all she was a wonderful great aunt to my daughter, Danielle, and my son, Landon. Every year she would invite them on vacation with Papa Scott & Nana. The memories they made during this trips, they will forever carry in their hearts. She would also include all of us on every trip she ever took by herself, by sending post cards, pictures, and little presents from all over the world. We would look forward to Christmas as well - her box was always highly anticipated - you never knew what you were going to find when you opened the box. :) She helped to shape my kids into the people that they are today and for that I will forever be thankful. You will be greatly missed Aunt Lisa.

Sincerely,
Shonda Pierce

My sincere condolences to Lisa's siblings and nearest and dearest. What a remarkable woman Lisa was, her bravery and strength in serving our country is such a commendable example to young women. I remember fondly our visit in Bloomington shortly after her retirement. She had hit the road in an RV and was living life to the fullest. I won't say "rest in peace" because I don't think that sounds like any fun. I'll just imagine Lisa touring the skies in that same RV, hanging out with loved ones and enjoying the Heavenly shore.

The tennis game.

I could write a short book with all the memories I have of my aunt Lisa but one is the first time I played tennis with her. I was fairly certain that I was going to beat her on account that I was a teenager at the time and my youth would prevail over her skill. I was wrong. And looking back on it I’m sure that she was being easy on me even though she would never admit to it. Thank you Lisa, I will truly miss you. S.H.

The phone would ring and when I answered I would hear, "Hi there! Guess where I am." And I would know she was shopping, usually a shoe store, and we would embark on a telephone shopping trip. I was so glad when she got a phone that took pictures that she could send because I could never visualize what she was describing! I will miss those phone calls, Lisa.
