Johanna Maria Auer Raezer 1929 - 2014

 Johanna Maria Raezer nee (Auer) Age 84, of Upper Darby, PA. Also, lovingly known to her Husband and Brother- in - Laws and Sisters - in - Laws as "Jane". She Died February 15, 2014 at her Home in Upper Darby after a long Illness Battling Ovarian Cancer. Johanna Maria Raezer was Born in Germany in Laufen bei Trebbenbach and raised in Prien am Chiemsee, Germany. She had been a resident of Upper Darby for the last 31 Years, Formerly of Ardmore, PA.  She was a Member of St. Laurence Catholic Church Parish in Upper Darby , PA. Survivors: Husband of 51 Years to Donald C. Raezer. She is also Survived by her Daughter - Monika Amalie Johanna Raezer and her Loving Companion Arthur Charles Kling, Jr. and is also Survived by her Grandson Alekssandr Andreas Markus Miles.  Brothers in law Franklin L. Raezer and his wife Bernice Ebert Raezer and Ellis M. Raezer and many other Nieces, Nephews, and 3 Cousins  in Germany - Monika Weyerer and her Husband Sebastian Weyerer and their Sons - Sebastian, Tobias, Benedikt; Heinz Mayer and Benno Mayer and her Life Long Childhood Friend for the Past 82 Years and Classmate Peter Ackermann who was also former Classmate and who is the Proprietor of the Weingarten Gasthof (Hotel) in Rimsting, Germany and other Classmates from Germany. Johanna Maria Auer Raezer was a very Compassionate, Empathetic and Loving, Devoted Wife and loving Mother/Grandmother and Aunt and Friend to many. She also had a Sense of Humor. She was an Excellent Listener and always gave excellent Advice - if she became your Friend then she was that for Life. She loved to Cook, Dance (when Younger), loved Children and Animal, Nature, Travel, Reading both English and in German, Sew. She actually knew her Husband for about 15 Years before marrying Donald Raezer when they had Met in Germany after the World War II while Donald was Stationed there in US Army. Johanna was a very Hard worker. She loved Mountains very much as she grew up near a beautiful Mountain Range in Upper Bavaria Germany.She also, was the only one who can honestly state she had Baked a Cake for Cardinal Ratzinger while he was at St. Charles Seminary - Cardinal Ratzinger then had became Pope Benedict. She was Employed throughout Life both in Germany and here in the USA for Miscellaneous Employers. On: Moday, February 24, 2014 at 10:30 AM there will be a Mass following a Visitation in the Church - St. Laurence Church located on West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, Pa.from 9:30 AM in the Church (she was Cremated) at St. Laurence 845 West Chester Pike Upper Darby, Pa 19082 following Burial at Arlington Cemetery, Lansdowne Avenue, Upper Darby, PA with a Luncheon taking Place at Perkins Restaurant, Lansdowne Avenue, Upper Darby, PA (Perkins is Located next to Arlington Cemetery).Flowers are acceptable but Memorial Contributions in Johanna Raezer's Name to: The Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies' Auxiliary VFW Post #411 321 Main St. Birdsboro, PA 19508, Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation 2010 West Chester Pike Suite 410 Havertown, PA 19083, any Foundation or Animal Rescue of your Choice and to the Ship the United States - to the Foundation that is attempting to restore Ship while it is Docked in Philadelphia, PA (Johanna had Sailed on this Magnificent Ship twice across the Atlantic to and from US to Germany) or to the Charity of your Choice.
