Howard Butler's Story

 Howard M. Butler, age 88, died February 24, 2013 at Broomall Presbyterian Village in Broomall, Pa. Formerly of Collingdale, PA, Villas, NJ and the Briarcliffe Section of Glenolden, Mr. Butler was born and raised in Atlantic City, NJ. He retired in 1986 after 43 years as a machinist at Westinghouse. Mr. Butler was a Navy veteran of both WW II and Korea, he was formerly active with the Knights of Columbus and he enjoyed music and played the Banjo in the Woodland String Band. He is predeceased by his wife Virgina Illing Butler who died in 2010. Survivors: Daughter, Elizabeth (David) Hefner of N. Liberty, Iowa; Sons, Thomas M. of Lansdowne,PA, Patrick J. (Susan) of Lansdowne, PA and Daniel J. (Susan) Butler of Eastport, ME and 5 grandchildren. Visitation: Thursday evening 6:00 pm to 8:00pm at the John P. Donohue Funeral Home Walnut St. and Copley Rd. Upper Darby, Pa. 19082. Interment private
