De Saussure Parker Moore, Jr. Md

Dr. deSaussure Parker Moore, Jr., 90, of Lexington, SC died August 7, 2014.  Services will be private.

  He was the son of the late Reverend deSaussure Parker Moore, Sr. and Cornelia Trezevant Moore.  Dr. Moore was educated in the public schools of Weldon NC, The University of NC and received his MD from Duke University School of Medicine in 1952. He was one of the founders of Hopewell Medical Center and Colonial Heights Medical Center in VA where he practiced medicine from 1955 to 1990.

  He is predeceased by his sister, Dr. Aimee N. Moore and brother, Sewell T. Moore.

  He is survived by  his wife, Doris S. Moore of Chapin, SC; sons, Camm T. (Stephanie) Moore of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Dr. Des P. (Marsha) Moore, III of Hopewell, VA and a  grandson, Leslie Parker Moore.
