Gerry Lee Woodard 1947 - 2014

 Mr. Gerry Lee Woodard, age 67, died August 25, 2014 suddenly after multiple strokes. He first took ill Saturday, August 23, 2014 and was gone in less than 72 hours. He attended SUNY Fredonia as a classical piano student and later changed his major to theatre arts, receiving a BA from Indiana University in 1971. He attended graduate school at the University of Binghamton and later back at Indiana University with an emphasis in directing, but never completed his graduate degree. He was a theatrical genius, working with Howard Ashman and others in NYC.  In the late ‘70s he was office manager for the Philadelphia Theatre Company and directed many independent productions. Recently he served well as a concierge at the Franklin Institute. He was loved and will be missed by many loving friends, coworkers, and family.

There will be a service of remembrance at The Church of St Luke and the Epiphany, 330 S. 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA at 11 am, Saturday, September 13, 2014 followed by inurnment of his cremains in the columbarium. All close friends and family are cordially invited to share memories of him in the main church. Please no flowers to the church.
