guy kimball

I will never forget the first time I met, Jim. It was in late 1970, when I open the office door next to my office on the 4th floor of the Baker building in Columbia, and got hit squarely in the forehead with a healthy spitball. I looked up and saw 4 backs, facing away from me and giggling. Jim, finally turned around and told me they were expecting someone else and that I only got hit with one of the four spitballs.
Jim's sense of humor continued t/o our good times there on the 4th floor until he moved on. We were not much acquainted after his move until many years later when I met him at a group of Bell retires at Ryans in St Andrews in 1997.

From 1997 on, I got reacquainted with Jim, and he still had his good sense of humor,... no spitballs though. We met every first monday each month at Ryan's for lunch to discuss the good times and the old times.

I really enjoyed the times spent with Jim and the others at the Bell retirees lunches, but I know that he is in a better place. Jim will continue to live in my memories and I feel like I am a better person for having known him. God speed, Jim Hall, and we will joining you down the road.
thank you guy

I had the opportunity to meet Jim in the later years of my employment with BellSouth. He was a great employee and great friend to all. It seems like just yesterday that I was talking with him at the retiree's luncheon at the T & S farms. I am so thankful Jim and I crossed paths in life's journey. I will forever remember the friendship and conservations we shared.
My prayers and sympathy are with each of you that are members of Jim's family.
We can all take comfort in knowing that he is pain free and in a better place.
May God be with each of you and give you peace.
