Max Muniz-Roussel 1934 - 2014

Yesterday, we experienced the loss of our dear dad and "abuelito". What an amazing man he was! He taught us so many things, the ones that are really important in life. We learned from him to be grateful for the life that God has blessed us with, and that no matter how difficult life could be sometimes, not to be angry nor discouraged, and to enjoy each day to the fullest. He was a real testimony of all these. No matter how bad things got, he was in good spirits to his last days. Like he once said, "I have lived 80 great years, what else can I ask for? I just want to be home surrounded by my family."

He went peacefully, and like our pastor said, "He was ready!" He understood that this life is just a journey to a better life. A life that is eternal and that God has promised to those who accept Him as their Lord and Savior. Even though the separation hurts a lot, and the sense of emptiness in the house is so noticeable among us, we are at peace because we know he is experiencing the best ride of his life, the perfect peace and joy that only comes from the Lord.

Papi, abuelito, thank you for allowing us to take care of you and for the opportunity to show you how much we loved you and how much you meant to each of us.

Miss you a lot already,

Luisito, Mayra, Rafelito, Sebastian and the light of your life, your dear Andrea.

Ps. Finally, I wanted to thank from the bottom of my heart my husband Luis, my children, Rafelito, Sebastian, and Andrea, my mom Myrna, my aunts, Titi Ida and Titi Sylvia for giving so much of you every single day to make my dad so happy, and make sure that he was fine at all times. To my brother Max (thank you for all the times you made the long drive from Ohio to be with "papi") and his family, to my aunts and uncles, Titi Gail, Titi Ninette, Tio Gardy, Tio Gango,Tio Manuel and Mildred, my nieces, their husbands and fiances, relatives, my church family (especially Pastor Hamlin, the Jones family, and the Back Bench Boys - men's music ministry), friends, doctors, nurses, office personnel, and neighbors for your love, your support, your care and for helping me and my family through this. Thank you to everyone that called, that messaged me to check on him. Last but not least thank you for all your prayers, they were definitely answered.

God bless you all!
