Bernice Joan Shockley O'Berg, 84, of Aston Township died Monday, December 8, 2014 at her home.

Bernice was born in Chester, Pa to the late William E. and Josephine Cenatiempo Shockley. She lived in Linwood for 20 years and was graduate of Boothwyn High School.  Mrs. O'Berg has been a resident of Aston for over 60 years.  She worked in the passport department of Delaware County for two years retiring, in 2005.  Prior to that, she worked 18 years for the P&B Bank in Brookhaven and also was the owner and operator of Bernie's Cleaning Service in Aston for 10 years.

Bernice was the former President of the Aston Lioness Club.  She acted as a committe person for the 4th Ward of Aston and was a member of the Aston Women's Republican Club and the Aston American Legion.  She was known for "being the best mother in the whole world".  She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.

Bernice was the wife of the late Joseph Patrick O'Berg who died in 2000 and the sister of the late Mary Shockley.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Patrick O'Berg Jr. and his wife, Donna of Aston, Deborah O'Berg of Aston, Diane Epright and her husband James of Boothwyn and Kathleen McLaughlin and her husband Thomas of Isle of Palms, SC; her brother John Sgro of Buckingham, Pa; grandchildren, Shannon Loveland-Boyers, Joseph O'Berg III (Lalynn), William O'Berg (Jen), Patrick O'Berg, Thomas McClaughlin, Lauren McLaughlin, Alexandria McLaughlin and her great-grandchildren, Ryan Boyers, Dylan Boyers and Brayden O'Berg.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass 10 am Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3255 Concord Rd, Aston, Pa where friends may call from 9-10.  Interment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester.

Memorial contributions in her name to the Aston Lioness Club, P.O. Box 2204, Aston, Pa, 19014 would be appreciated by the family.
