In Memoriam

Michael George Reeve, 69, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Reeve resided in Oceanside, California at the time of his passing. 

Mike was born May 15, 1945, in Cottonwood, Idaho to George and Loretta Reeve. Mike was a faithful altar boy.  He made friends of everyone he met and as such his yard was the neighborhood gathering place for fun and games when growing up.  Mike attended Idaho Falls High School.  He continued his education and earned a degree from California State University Fullerton.  Mike was a combat veteran serving the Marine Corps in Vietnam.

Mike married his beloved wife in 1983.  He raised two children; David Boyd Christian-Reeve and Matthew Todd Christian-Reeve.  Mike was an accomplished artist and an entrepreneur at heart.  He ran many businesses, but always kept the welfare of others in front of his own.  He was brave, encouraging, generous, kind, and gentle.  He also had a great sense of humor and is mind never stopped working.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents.  He leaves to cherish lasting memories his loving wife, Carol Deanne Reeve; sons, David and Matthew; sisters, Norma Halter of Boise, ID, Pam Noah of Rathdrum, ID, Mary McQuigg of Rathdrum, ID; brothers, Ron Reeve of Coeur d’Alene, ID and Jerry Reeve of Sarasota, FL, and a lots of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Mike enjoyed artwork projects and spending time with his family - especially his grandchildren.  One of his favorite mediums to make art projects with was bamboo.  He also enjoyed being outside and gardening/caring for plants.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00 am. at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Orange.  His interment will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on March 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in his name to The American Cancer Society or to research at UCSD Moores Cancer Center.
