John Jesus Nava

John Jesus Nava (aka “Juan”), beloved father, grandfather, and friend died of natural causes at the age of 77 on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at approximately 11:00pm.  He was born on February 20, 1938 in San Diego, California where he spent his entire life working and raising a family.  Growing up in the neighborhood of Logan Heights, he was an all-star football player at San Diego High School and later went on to become an extremely well known local contractor that personally helped build many of San Diego’s most treasured neighborhoods.  In his free time, he loved fishing, boats, and especially the San Diego Chargers.  Juan is survived by his children, Diana Nava-Newby, John David Nava, Daniel Richard Nava; his 10 grandchildren and also his two great-grandchildren.  The family is going to have a small private service with a date and time still pending.  The family asks that any donations be made to Seacrest Village Retirement Community of Encinitas, California in the name of “John Nava”.
