The one and only Robert Taylor

An Oklahoma boy, one of 8 children....married his sweetheart Doris Taylor March 27,1941......Drafted in Feb 1943 served in the Army Air Corp as a airplane radio repairman and instructor.  Served all over the continental US..never shipped overseas since he had 3 brothers in Germany and Italy.

After discharge in Jan 1945 he and Doris and daughter 3 yr old Vonda  moved to Walla Walla to join her parents....Bob went to work for Howard Hume Office Machines and started building a home for his family.....Second daughter Linda was born in 1947....he was hired to teach Office machine repair at the Walla Walla Penitentiary in a new vocational program.  After teaching there for 7 years he was hired as one of the first instructors at the new Walla Walla Community College  Office Machine Repair program. Retiring from the College in 1980. 

He and Doris were happy Snowbirds in Apache Junction Az for over 10 years. 

He is survived by daughter Vonda(Bob deceased) Rand of College Place, Wa  and daughter Linda (Jim) Lonneker of Marysville, Wa. grandchildren Kathy Rand, Scott Rand, Jay Lonneker, Jeff Lonneker, and Joel Lonneker, great grandchildren Cody Rand, Wyatt Rand Schmerer, Emily Lonneker and Lena Kay Lonneker
