Russel William Schiefer

 Russel William (Russ) Schiefer, passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2015, at 7:03pm, age 56, at Abington Hospice of Warminster. He died of end stage cardiovascular disease, and other complications.

Russel suffered for most of his life, both physically and emotionally, but never ceased to amaze his family and friends with his will to live, and fought with all he had to the very end. He was a kind and comical man, and left a lasting impression on the nurses and doctors of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), and Abington Hospice.

Russel is preceded in death by his loving mother, Doris L. (Weston) Schiefer, and father, George N. Schiefer, of Bensalem.
He is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Schiefer) Herbert and her husband Michael, his son Russel P. Schiefer and wife, Erin. He also had a loving step-daughter, Kelly McRae. Russel had four beautiful grandchildren, Emily, Claire, Aaden and Avery. He is also survived by his sister Debbie, brothers George, Bob and Thomas, and many nieces and nephews.
Russ will be greatly missed by his entire extended family, his lifelong friend Tom Swank, and loving ex-wife and friend, Sarah Schiefer.
Russel was cremated and a private memorial for family and friends was held at his daughter's home. He would have approved of the gathering of those who loved him, with a day full of love, laughter and happy tears
