Lynda Langer Eyre 1943 - 2015

On December 1, 2015,  Lynda Langer Eyre, beloved wife of William B. Eyre, Jr. went home to be with the Lord after a sudden illness, surrounded by her family. She was 72.

 Lynda was born in Camden, N.J., and was the daughter of the late Arnold and Lenore Langer. She was an accomplished soloist and a past member of the Haddonfield Choral Society. Mrs. Eyre worked as a secretary at Princeton University and also worked as a church secretary at Washington’s Crossing United Methodist Church.  She had a strong love for Jesus and this came across in her daily interactions with people. Lynda loved to make people laugh.

Lynda was a homemaker and loving mother to 6 children and grandmother to 17. She loved each child deeply. Lynda is survived by:  Daughter Chris Wilcox (Brian), mother of Bailey Mason (Tyler), Sydney, Elijah and Reilly. Daughter Suzy Yorgey (Ken), mother of Maxwell, Madilyn, and Addison. Daughter Allison Benini (Tony), mother of Alex. Daughter Jessica Linde (Doug), mother of Katarina and Karl. Daughter Amy Einolf (Tim), mother of Tyler, Caleb, Joshua, and Evelyn. Son Bill Eyre (Kelsey), father of Blake, Elyse, and Grant.

Lynda is also survived by her sisters Nancy Hall and Dorothea Snyder, and many nieces and nephews that she adored.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and sisters Judy Swinderman and Beverly Eyre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to one of the charities (on this page navigate to the link "Other Options" at the top of the screen).    Anyone wishing to remember Lyn can honor the deep affection for the Honey Brook Amish community that she developed in the 9 years in Honey Brook.  Contributions can be made to the Amish Fund, through the Bishop Daniel Stoltzfus.  This fund supports the long range medical needs of the Amish community.    As an alternative, you may also donate to a general fund to assist the Eyre family.
