Peter R. Wolff 1956 - 2015

Peter Roland Wolff age 59, of Media, PA. died December 10th 2015 at his home, from an aggressive form of colon cancer. His wife Kris was by his side. Peter was born in Chester at Sacred Heart Hospital August 11, 1956 to his parents Gennie and Kenneth Wolff also of Media.

Peter graduated from Arcadia College (Beaver College) and did his undergraduate studies at Goddard College in Vermont and Delaware County Community College, Media. He also furthered his studies at The Barnes Foundation, Longwood Gardens and the John J. Tyler Arboretum for Horticulture.
He was an active and vibrant force in the community. He was involved in many community organizations, and served on the boards of Middletown Township Parks and Recreation and Williamson Trade School.  Peter and Wolff's Apple House supported Healthy Communities Initiative (HCI) Youth Development. He participated in RULE Rural Urban Leadership Program and was also active in many business related organizations like the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture.

For the past 30 years, Peter’s passion was the family business of Wolff’s Apple House. He worked tirelessly building and creating a new vision for the family business, along with his brother Fran Wolff and niece Ashley Wolff Pippin, who will continue the Wolff’s legacy.

Peter’s personal passions were painting, and his art was a major force in his well-being. Peter was an avid reader of philosophy and theosophy. His love of nature and the outdoors always gave him peace. He especially loved his time spent on the Chesapeake Bay and in Vermont with his extended family. 

He is survived by his loving wife Kristine Pike Wolff and parents Gennie and Kenneth Wolff as well as brothers Conrad and Fran and sisters Virginia, Kate, Wini and Andrea along with many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his brother, Nathan Wolff.
