David W. Speed, Jr.

    David W. Speed Jr, 41, of Aston, PA died Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.      Born in Chester, PA, Dave was a resident of Aston Township for the past 15 years. He worked for 15 years for the Alan McIlvain Lumber Company in Marcus Hook as a laborer.  A 1993 graduate of Chichester High School, Dave was an extremely dedicated father to all of his children. He enjoyed coaching wrestling, baseball and football and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.  Nothing could compare to the love Dave exhibited for his children and his family. He was the son of the late David W. Speed, Sr.      He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Bridget C. Speed with whom he shared their five children: Jeremy Gannon, Jacob Speed, Jared Speed, Julianna Speed and Jaela Speed; also survived by his three older children, David Speed III, Marisa Speed and Hannah Speed; his mother and father, Judith Speed-Cook and William Cook; brother, Eric Speed and sister Jaclyn Cook.
