Cynthia M. “Cindy” Stites died March 18, 2016 at Mercy Fitzgerald in Darby, PA after a brief illness. She is survived by her children: Chrystle Griffin, of Upper Darby, PA and Dean Griffin,of Glenolden, PA; three grandchildren: Kylie, Leonidas, and Achilles; her brother, Carl (Dawn) Stites, of Essington, PA; and aunts and cousins. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Carole Stites Luka, of Glenolden, PA and daughter Danielle (deceased at birth). She is survived by her children: Chrystle Griffin, of Upper Darby, PA and Dean Griffin, of Glenolden, PA; three grandchildren: Kylie, Leonidas, and Achilles; Cindy’s brother, Carl (Dawn) Stites, of Essington, PA; nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
Cindy was born on June 15, 1965 in Fairfield, California where her father was stationed in the Air Force. She graduated from Archbishop Prendergast in 1983 with a degree in Business. She worked at AstraZeneca for seventenn years.
Cindy was an avid artist who enjoyed drawing and creating graphic designs for websites.
She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Cindy could be found texting to many friends giving them kind words in times of need. She was always known for her sense of humor in times of trouble. She was a generous, witty, and educated individual who loved art, computers, and music. Cindy had a passion about learning something new and making herself a better person. She always took interest in each person she met and shared her sense of humor and kind words with all. She will be dearly missed by each person whom she met.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for April 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church in Norwood, PA, immediately following by her burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery at 1600 Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cindy’s life.
