Lauren Ardelle Herman 1950 - 2016

Lauren A. (Keiper), Herman, 66 of Lincoln University PA, formerly of Naples, FL and Allentown PA, died on Thursday, May 19th 2016 at Jennersville Regional Hospital in West Grove PA. She was the beloved wife of Lynn A Herman, to whom she was married to for 25 years and formerly Rudy Vollmann of FL.

Born in Allentown PA on January 18th, 1950, Lauren was the daughter of the late Russell W. and Beatrice C. (Groner) Keiper. Lauren graduated from William Allen High School in 1967 and began her career with the Morning Call Newspaper and then with Hess’s Department Store in Allentown. She then turned her interests to banking and was lastly employed as a Bank Specialist for PNC Bank in Naples, FL. She moved to Florida in 1991 where she married her husband Lynn and relocated back to Pennsylvania in 2012.

She was an avid reader and followed her dream of becoming an author by publishing her inspirational book “Butterflies and Angels” based on her struggles and survival of cancer. Over the years she has gained many internet friends through support sites, some of which she called mothers and sisters. She has touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all including her cat Smokey.

Survivors: Husband, Lynn A Herman of Lincoln University; Daughters, Amy B Whitaker of Ann Arbor, MI, Tara B Dietrich of Naples, FL wife of Kenneth Dietrich; Step-son Christopher L Herman of Macungie, PA husband of Suzanne Herman; Sisters, Dale A. (Keiper) Glick of Allentown PA wife of Timothy R. Glick, Sr. and Faye (Keiper) Ingegnari of St. Petersburg FL; grandchildren Zachary Zellers of New York City, NY and Kyleigh Herman of Macungie PA; niece Abigail Glick; nephews Tim and Josh Glick; great nephew Russell Glick.

A Celebration of Lauren’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 4th 2016 at her home in Lincoln University PA from 1pm to 6pm for family and friends. In lieu of any flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
