Eleanor Mahood's Story

Eleanor Mahood (nee Willey), age 92, died November 9, 2010. A longtime resident of Upper Darby, Pa. She was a longtime employee of Curtis Publishing and retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad.Mrs. Mahood was long active in the American Legion Post 214.She was also former champion of her womens bowling league.She was a devoted follower of politics and baseball. She also did volunteer work at a local hospital and at the former Our Lady of Victory School in West Phila. where she and her late husband were generous with their time,talents,and finances quietly helping many students continue their education. She is wife of the late William Mahood. She is survived by 3 nieces Bette Lou Schaub,Carleen Adler and Nyla Mahood and a nephew Spence Mahood and many who were blessed by her presence. Vistation Tuesday after 10am at the John P. Donohue FH Walnut St.& Copley Rd. Upper Darby, Pa. Funeral Service 11am Interment Glenwood Mem. Gardens.
