Kathleen M. Mullaney 1967 - 2016

Kathleen M. Mullaney of Philadelphia died peacefully Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 48.
She was originally a resident of Levittown and was a 1985 graduate of Bishop Conwell High School.  Kathleen is the beloved wife of Matthew Wasiolek.  She was the daughter of the late Cyril Peter Mullaney and the late Louise Mullaney.  She is survived by her sisters Michele Coombs and her husband Gary and Erin Mullaney; brother-in-law Bart Wasiolek and his wife Anna; and sister-in-law Jessica Lechette.  She will be sadly missed by her nieces Ashley Cumberland, Bridgett Smith, Emily Herman, Carley Handa, Lyla, Tess and Cora Wasiolek; her nephew Timothy Handa; her very dear great-nieces Avery Cumberland and Julia Smith; and her very extensive family of friends.
Kathleen was a graduate of Bucks County Community College and The Art Institute of Philadelphia and was employed for many years as a creative and talented graphic design artist. She later attended Harcum College and was employed by the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital as a veterinarian technician.  Her love of animals also led her to rescue her many “fur babies” and establish the “All for Animals” pet service.  She most cherished her recent years spent as “Miss Ketty” a loving nanny.
Kathleen loved all things vintage and the beaches of Long Beach Island.  She had a passion for music and at one time played in the all-girl band Grubby.  She will be remembered for her compassion, vibrant personality and contagious laugh.
A life celebration is being planned per Kathleen’s request and will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions in her name may be made to The Animal Alliance of New Jersey, 1432 Route 179N, Lambertville, NJ 08530 www.animalalliancenj.org
