David W. Scott, Sr.

David W. Scott Sr., 83, formerly of Rehoboth Beach, Del., and Media, died Friday, May 6, 2011. He was the husband of the Late Marjorie S., who passed away in 2004. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Patrick and Edna Murray Scott. David was a graduate of Duquesne University. He retired as president of Compumark Inc. of Newtown Square. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a former member of the Rehoboth Beach Kiwanis Club and Sussex Pines Golf Club. He is survived by a son, David W. Scott Jr. of Winchester, Va.; daughters, Kathy Buckhout of Stormville, N.Y., Chris Melnyk of East Fallowfield, Dianne Rakitsky of Upper Chichester, Carol McCadden of Chalfont and Pam Groses, of Media; and is also survived by 15 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his chapel service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, Del.
