Walter McWilliams 1952 - 2017
Walter McWilliams, 65, Philadelphia, PA passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017, after a hard fought battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as ALS.
Walt was born March 16, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA to the late James McWilliams & Berneice (Brown) McWilliams. The family moved from South Philadelphia to Southwest Philadelphia where he resided and attended West Philadelphia High School.
Walt was preceded in death by father James McWilliams, brothers Darance McWilliams and Demetrius (MeMe) McWilliams and son Maki Thomas.
Walt is survived by so many memories to his mother Berneice McWilliams; three children David Butler, Walter Butler and Mischa Washington; grandchildren Anaja, Anea, Maki and MeNaje; brothers James (Jimmy) McWilliams and Kevin McWilliams; along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Walt will forever be remembered for the love he had for his grandchildren. We love you Walt and thank you for the memories and our vacations.
A memorial & repast will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 at 3pm at Transformation Temple CHCC.
