     Samuel F. “Sabu” Trasatti, 86, of Brookhaven, formerly of Chester died Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media.
     Born in Chester, PA to the late Saverio and Nancy Elmo Trasatti he was a lifelong resident of Chester before moving to Brookhaven 4 years ago.  Mr. Trasatti worked as a clerk for the State Liquor Store in Chester for 40 years before his retirement.  A Veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Trasatti proudly served his country with the 45th Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1952 earning the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, the National Service Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge and the United Nations Service Medal. An avid Philadelphia sports fan, Mr. Trasatti enjoyed the holidays and cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
     Samuel was the husband of the late Olivia M. Colletta “Penny” Trasatti who died in 2008.
     He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Kenny) Massey of Oxford and Theresa Trasatti of New Castle, DE; sons, Samuel (Judy) Trasatti of Boothwyn and Michael (Michelle) Trasatti of Brookhaven; his sister Dolores Cartwright of Middletown; brother Anthony Trasatti of Delaware; 9 grandchildren, Amanda and Kenny Massey, Katarina and Mark Curl, Kimberly, Kaitlyn and Alyssa Trasatti and Michael and Nicholas Trasatti; numerous nieces and nephews.
     Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass 10:30 am Monday at Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Catholic Church, 8th and Green Sts, Marcus Hook, Pa. Interment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester.  Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at the D’Anjolell-Stigale Memorial Home, 3260 Concord Rd, Aston and also Monday morning from 9-10:15 at the church.
     Memorial contributions in his name to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High St, Columbus, OH, 43214 or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, 399 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19106 would be appreciated by the family.
