Marion Graham Hudson, a former longtime resident of East Lansdowne, died Aug. 3 at the Season’s Hospice in Phoenixville Hospital.  He was 82. 
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Hudson had been a resident of Yeadon and Broomall before his marriage more than 60 years ago.  He had also resided in Dimock, Pa., Homosassa, Fla. and N. Coventry in Chester County.
Mr. Hudson, also known as “Buck” and “Whitey,” attended Yeadon High School and had been an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad; Penn Central; Conrail and Amtrak for a total of 43 years as a signalman.  He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps who served during the Korean War.  He also served as a coach with the East Lansdowne Little League during the late1960’s.
He was an avid gardener who enjoyed planting trees and was a great fan of boxing and the films of the late actor, John Wayne, whose real name was also “Marion.”
Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife, June Rose Lauro Hudson; three children, Mary Elizabeth Gartside of Homosassa, Fla., John J. Hudson of Kennett Sq. and Judith Ann Traband of N. Coventry; four grandchildren, Justin M. Gartside of Homosassa, Fla.; Jack G. Hudson of Havertown and Dennis M. Traband Jr. and Emma Rose Traband, both of N. Coventry; a sister, Susan Sita of Coatesville and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and a celebration of his life will take place Aug. 12 from noon to 4 p.m. at 1496 E. Cedarville Road, Pottstown, Pa.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St., Phila., Pa. 19106.
