Joseph F. Davis

Joseph F. Davis,88, of Upper Chichester, Pa. died June 27, 2011 at Taylor Hospice in Ridley Park, Pa. Mr Davis was born and raised in Chester, Pa. He has been a resident of Upper Chichester for the last 34 years. He was a retired merchant marine for Sun Oil Co. last sailing on the Delaware Sun. He was an Army veteran of WW II who fought in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe Campaigns. He was a member of the American Legion Post 777, the Battle of the Bulge Group, the West End Boat Club where he had been a member since 1949 and the Resurrection School Alumni. Mr. Davis also enjoyed photography and traveling. He was predeceased by his brothers Paul, Howard, and John Davis and his sisters Helen Cauley, Dolores Quinzi, and Margaret Restino.
