A family story

When my Uncle Dick came back from living in Arizona for a couple of years, my mother, Anne Mullen, arranged with her best friend, Betty Ann McNulty, for him to meet a nice girl.
I'm not sure of the levels of subtle or not so subtle persuasion that were applied to Millie and Dick but they went out on a date and later got married.
I was at the wedding, my Dad was best man and gave+ the toast at the wedding.
For me, the best part was meeting all of my new cousins. Now I was officially related to the McNultys, Whites, Tolands and Bertrams.
My mother always took credit for the matchmaking.
