Virginia De Paulis

Virginia "Chickie" DePaulis, of Upper Darby, died suddenly January 12, 2010 at Delaware County Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in West Philadelphia she had been a resident of Upper Darby for the last 56 years. Mrs. DePaulis was a 1948 graduate of West Catholic High School. Mrs. DePaulis had been working for H&R Block Accounting in Upper Darby for the last 10 years. Previously she worked in customer service for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Center City Philadelphia for 15 years until 1994. Prior to that she had worked for the Sheraton in Center City, Philadelphia in the Convention Services Department. Mrs. DePaulis was a member of F.A.M.M.( Familys Against Mandatory Minimums) She was wife of the late Charles J. DePaulis who died in 2007. She is survived by a son Charles J. DePaulis Jr. of Upper Darby and two daughters Mary Beth DePaulis of Havertown, Pa. and Madeline Anthony of East Lansing, Michigan. Also 3 grandchildren Melanie DePaulis, Troy and Matthew Mucchetti. A viewing will be held Saturday January 16, 2010 after 11:00 am at the John P. Donohue Funeral Home 201 Copley Rd. Upper Darby, Pa. 19082. Followed by a Prayer Service at 12:00 noon. Interment private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Christ Lutheran Church 7240 Walnut St. Upper Darby, Pa. 19082
