James J. Gallagher

 James J. Gallagher, age 50, of Downingtown, PA formerly of the Overbrook section of Philadelphia passed away Saturday December 30, 2017 at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA.  He was a devoted father to his children McKenzie and Patrick.  Jim was the beloved son of Roseann (nee) Gavarone and the late Hugh Gallagher.  He was also the loving boyfriend of Denise Shipp, the caring brother of Anthony Gallagher (Terri), Michael Gallagher and the late Marnie Houck, also survived by brothers John Spera, Hughie Gallagher and Shawn Gallagher.  Jim was the awesome uncle of Rachael, Katie, Emily, Gabrielle, Ashley, Josh and Zoey.  Jim was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended nieces and nephews and friends.  He was an adoptive father figure to every child who walked into his life, and a friend to all.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service to celebrate his life on Saturday January 13, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Providence Church 430 Hannum Ave west Chester, PA 19380.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Crozer Chester Medical Center Burn Treatment Center One Medical Center Blvd. Upland, PA 19013 would be preferred
