Clarice Slowe's Story

Clarice Tillery Slowe, 79 Aston Resident Clarice Tillery Slowe, 79, of Aston, Pa, formerly of Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2011 surrounded by her family at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Born in Enfield, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Marion Tillery Sr. and Beatrice Lloyd Tillery. She was the second of six children. She was educated in the Enfield, North Carolina school district. She was a resident of Chester, Pa for many years. “Cly” as she was affectionately known by family and friends worked many years for Bishop Nursing Home in Media, PA. Later, she became caretaker to her husband. Preceded her in death, was her husband Auturo Slowe; brother Marion Tillery Jr.; sister Lillian Fox. Survivors: Clarice leaves to cherish her memory her son, Tyrone Slowe; brothers Ernest Tillery (Mable) of Chester, PA, Joseph Tillery of Atlanta, GA; sister Kitty Gerst of Media, PA; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family who loved her deeply. Memorial Service: 11am, Saturday at The Cathedral St. Marks C. C. Church, 214 Lamokin Street, Chester, PA Burial: Private Arrangements: John P. Donohue Funeral Home, Upper Darby
