Thomas Francis Dougherty

Thomas Francis Dougherty, age 85, a resident of Upper Darby for over 50 years died December 6, 2009 at Wallingford Nursing Home in Nether Providence Twp. Mr. Dougherty was born and raised in West Philadelphia. He was a 1942 graduate of St. Thomas Moore Catholic High School. Mr. Dougherty was retired from Boeing after over 25 years. Mr. Dougherty was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church in Upper Darby, Pa. He was also an Army veteran of World War II, where he received the Asiatic - Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Philippines Liberation Medal. He is son of the late Joseph P. and Margaret R. McGowan Dougherty. He is survived by his brother John J. Reynolds of Doylestown, Pa. and nieces and nephews. His viewing will be held Thursday December 10, 2009 in the Church of St. Alice Walnut St. & Copley Rd. Upper Darby, Pa. from 9:00 am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Yeadon, Pa. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
