Donald “Donnie” Wagner Jr., 52, died at Christiana Season’s Hospice on Thursday, September 13, 2018.  Donnie resided in New Castle, DE for the last 4 years. Donnie was disabled since 2007.  He graduated from Howard Career Center in 1985.  He played football, baseball and wrestled.  Donnie really loved his sports.  Donnie was in the Navy until he had to be medically discharged due to a knee injury.  Donnie was a very friendly guy with tons of friends.  Over the years Donnie had touched a lot of people with his easy going personality and charming ways.

We all know that Donnie continued his love for baseball after he was out of school.  He coached several teams and played in the thirty & over league and semi-pro league.  He had a lot of baseball buds.  Of course Donnie loved his Philadelphia teams, especially the Phillies and the EAGLES!

Donnie is the son of Mary (Rhea) Ash, the late Donald Wagner Sr., and step father Richard Ash.  Donnie met and married his loving wife, Sandra L (Tickle) Wagner on February 22, 1997.  Donnie is survived by his (sister), Tammy Wagner, (brother) Brian Wagner (Tina),  (sister in law) Cynthia “Tickle” Mercado (Angel).    “Daughter” Jessica Kennedy (Joel Ridley), “Son” Phillip Kennedy (Samantha), and 4 “Grandchildren “ Joel (8), Jordan (7), Jaiden (4), and Isla (7 months). “Nieces and Nephews”

Nicole (Matt), Kyle, Kareena, Ricky, Scottie (Valerie), Cassie, Brittany, Taylynn, Miranda, and Melani.

Donnie loved to travel with his wife and children when they were younger.   He would just drive around finding all the different things to do in that State.  Donnie’s last vacation was in Wildwood, NJ about 3 years ago.  We had a blast and a couple friends stopped by and made the trip ever better!

We would like to take the time out to thank everyone for all of your help, visits, calls and support as it has meant a lot to our family.

A service will be held at Rosehill Community Center, 19 Lambson Lane, New Castle, DE 19720, Saturday, September 29th, 2018.  Visitation will start at 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. followed by a discourse from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m., and then from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. the repass.
