Baby,
Two years ago tonight at 7:22pm you left us, you went home to God. The three of us; me, Bentley, and Sophie miss you. Today, the pups sat at the back door waiting for you to come home. This was quite sad! We love you! Be happy and watch over us.
Love you.

I just read about Barry’s passing. He was my sophomore college roommate. He was so talented and beloved by everyone who knew him..He was a unique talent and I’m sure he is sorely missed by all.

Indian Guides

I started to worry when I had not heard from you and my entreaties did not get any response. Then I learned from this page that you had passed. It broke me. I was closer to you than my own brother, which he knows, by the way.
I remember the campfires at Indian Guides, when the boys were 5 or so and how much I looked forward to sharing those experiences with you. You kept me grounded during my very difficult divorce and I kept hoping that you could maybe make it to India and see where I lived and worked, but it was not to be.
Crissy, he loved you with all his heart. The second time around gives you a better understanding of whom you have become and how to share it with the one you love.
I traveled 6000 miles to find my true love, but Barry found it much closer to home.
I am so sorry, Crissy. He is a wonderful man who brought joy to so many and I will miss the paraflying days which he enjoyed so much. Flying the the Grumman Tiger with him, etc..
I will miss him so much, but he also taught me to be positive and upbeat, no matter what. A lesson he taught from experience.
Bless you Crissy. You were loved.

Brywn Mawr

My memories of Barry go way back. Being in their while he and him and Uncle Bill singing in perfect unisone members of a Barber shop quartet. The motorcycle henand Danny rode around the circle as my parents forbid me to ever own one. ( I've owned 4) God bless you Barry you shall be missed but im sure you and Uncle Bill are singing away again.

Kindness and Positive Energy

I was so sorry to hear of Barry's passing. I've known him my entire life since my family lived next door to the wonderful Shellington family in Coopertown. I'll always remember his barbershop quartet visiting my did in the hospital right before my wedding. Boy, did that lift my dad's spirit. He was a gifted singer and musician. I have several great musical memories of Barry and his family. We;d pop next door for a visit and beg his dad Bill, who we called Uncle Bill, to break out the Ukulele and sing us a song. Another special memory I will always remember was Barry sitting in our living room in Wayne, I can't remember the year, and playing and singing Blackbird on the acoustic guitar. I was mesmerized. You could say it was like seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. I had to have a guitar.

Most of all, I will remember his kindness and positive energy that he generously shared with everyone. You will be missed Barry. I'm a better person for knowing you and your family.

Great Friend

I first met Barry in the early 90's as a paraflying customer who over the years became such a good friend. Always so positive. I'll miss the good conversations and his presence.

God Only Knows

How does one say good-bye to their best friend of 60 years?? The only consolation I have is knowing that you are now at peace, comfort and, most of all, finally happy. As in life, you will be missed and loved by many. Forever in my heart until we meet again. Always your "Rebeeka"

“Burger” (I don’t even know how he got that name)

The two things that come to mind when I think of Barry are his musical talent and his laugh. He inherited both from his father. I was extremely fortunate to grow up in the house next to the Shellingtons. I can easily say that I owe my career choice to the Shellingtons. Bill Shellington passed his love of music and entertaining to Barry. Barry and my brother were in the band “the Stains” together. I followed with my own band in high school and fell in love with instruments and entertaining. So, I became a music teacher. Barry and I sang together in a Barbershop quartet called “Four Fun” and we had some great times together. The highlight was being on a competition stage singing a caveman routine. I can still hear Barrys high giggle laugh as we practiced and sang together. I was also very lucky to sing with Barry in a quartet called “The Father and Son Tones”. It was Barry and his father, Bill with me and my father. I will certainly cherish those times.

Barry my dear sweet husband, I will miss you always. When I look at this photo, I remember how happy you were on our wedding day. As I close my eyes, I hear your hearty laugh, the stories you told and the pain you lived with daily. You will no longer suffer. May you Rest In Peace and know how much I love you!
