Carol Ann Shields

Carol Ann Shields (nee Smith), age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. She was born April 18, 1942, to William Smith and Marie (Meagher) Smith. Carol loved spending time with family and friends, laughing, doing the jitterbug and her annual trips to the south Jersey shore with her lifelong friend, Joan McElderry.  She is survived by her three children: Heather (Paul) Kontonis, Brian (Clare) Shields, and Courtney (Scott) Burke; two sisters, Patricia (Norman) Hopkins and Roseann Basciano, a brother, Bill (Helen) Smith, six grandchildren – Theo, Niko, Nate, James, Mae Mae and Roscoe, and former spouse, Joseph Shields.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Carol touched are invited to attend her visitation Monday October 15, 2018 after 10:00 am in the church of St. John Neumann 380 Highland Lane Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.  Followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Int. Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers , a donation in Carol's name to the Alzheimer's Association is greatly appreciated. https://www.alz.org/
