The Best friend I ever had

We met when we were fourteen. I have nothing but
happy memories of June. Driving in her little blue car, her 16th birthday gift from dad. Occasional trips to the shore, all in one big bed. Playing cards
at in their kitchen.Her big heart came from her parents, there was always room for one more.
Still in her teens,met her life long partner,Whitey.
I was fortunate to have known him since we were kids and lived three blocks apart.They were a great team, opposites, but shared the same values. Loved and cared for their families and friends.It was an honor to be in their wedding, over 60 years ago.June arranged her own special day, with her impeccable taste and included all.An affair I'll always remember.As time went by you go your separate way. So grateful June ,the organizer started the old friends reunions, with many phone calls and research she brought about a dozen of us together again. As the years pass us quickly the reunions seems to have come to an end. I will miss you JB, your pretty face and bright smile.
