I have vivid memories of my long ago friendship with Allen. We not only knew each other well in our teens but also had many mutual friends in West Phila. where we"hung out" together on the same 60th street corner. During the Korean War he and I trained at the same time with the 101st airborne Division in Breckinridge Ky. Since the war I hadn't seen Allen for over 50 years when I located his address on the internet and asked him to meet me for lunch. We had two lunches together near his home. Allen spoke to me freely about the war. I consider myself blessed to have known him and to meet with him again after so many passing years. Stanley

Death is the hardest thing we have to deal in life. I know words can do little to take away the pain you are feeling so may the God of comfort be with your family helping you to cope. Lean on Him in the days to come and take heart in Psalms 147:3. It reads He heals the brokenhearted; He binds up their wounds. My deepest sympathy.
