     Julie Ann Costigan Bucci, 67, of Georgetown, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Delaware Hospice, Milford, DE.
    

     Julie was born in Upper Darby, PA and was a 1969 graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School.  She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them and especially loved her role as a Grandmom.  She had a vivacious personality and made friends wherever she went and loved to have a good laugh with friends and family.  Julie centered her love for children in her home daycare center in Wilmington, DE where she loved and cared for children for 26 years.  Following her retirement she had an active role in enriching the lives of children in various educational settings in Lewes, DE.  Julie was Vice President of the Delaware Daycare Association and became the first person accredited nationally for daycare in Delaware.  Julie loved to travel and cherished a good day on the beach.

     She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine Endres Costigan.
    

     Julie was a dedicated wife of 46 years to Floyd “Butch” Bucci; loving mother to Eric (Kylee) Bucci, Keith (Melissa) Bucci and Julia (Mike) Crew and grandmom to Madison, Carter and Austin Bucci; loving sister of Catherine and her late husband John Gondek, Col. Daniel (Patricia) Costigan Jr, Coleen (Edward) Meehan, Mark (Mary) Costigan, Joanne (William) Medrow and Richard (Gail) Costigan; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
    

     Family and friends are invited to celebrate Julie’s life on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Mother Mary of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mount Joy Rd, Millsboro, DE, 19966.  Visitation with the family will be held from 10-11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 11.  Interment will be private.  A luncheon will proceed services at Pot Nets Lakeside Community Center, 33076 Rock Cove, Millsboro, DE 19966.  At Julie’s request, please wear your favorite beach attire (no bathing suits please).
    

     In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to the Delaware Humane Society, 701 A St, Wilmington, DE 19801.
    

     Based on one of Julie’s favorite commercials, the family asks – “Hey Julie, do you know what day it is?” … “It’s hump day, and you are finally over the hump”
