Gloria R. Hummel

     Gloria R. Arizzi Hummel, born August 14, 1944, age 75, of Ridley Park, PA died Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Vitas Hospice at Mercy Fitzgerald in Darby.

     Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Carmen and Rose Pinardo Arizzi, Gloria lived in Philadelphia prior to Ridley Park where she has resided for the past 45 years.  She worked as a bus driver for the Upper Darby School District for over 20 years until her retirement.  Gloria enjoyed baking, crocheting and knitting, playing bingo and spending time with her girlfriends, Linda and Rose.

     She was the wife of the late Ronald James Hummel who died in 1995 and the sister of the late Mario and Carmen (Rose) Arizzi.

     Gloria is survived by her children, Rose Barrett, Melissa Perry (Jimmie), Melinda Hummel and Shannon Hummel (Samuel); brothers, John and Chris Arizzi (Tina); 11 grandchildren, Crystal (Erik), Courtney (Christopher), Jimmie Jr (Alesha), Samantha (Jacob), Tierra, Erica (Matt), Melissa, Charles, Nicolette, Briana and Samuel III; and 6 great-grandchildren, N’Evaeh, Paige, Justin, Ava, Raegan and Noah as well as nieces and nephews.

     Interment is private.

     Memorial contributions in her name to Vitas Hospice at Mercy Fitzgerald, 1500 Lansdowne Ave, 4th Floor, Darby, PA 19023 would be appreciated by the family.
