Angela Maria Gallagher 1947 - 2020

Age 72 of Pittsgrove Township, New Jersey, recently of Morton and Springfield PA, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2020 at Crozer Chester Medical Center after being tested positive with COVID-19. She was born in Philadelphia on September 26. 1947 to the late Nicholas and Katherine Orlando Ponte.  Angela grew up in Southwest Philadelphia and attended West Catholic High School graduating in 1965.  Angela married Stephen J. Gallagher on 11, 07, 1981 and enjoyed a wonderful marriage to him for 32 years until his death in 2014.

Angela is survived by her loving daughters Katie and Sarah, granddaughter Marilyn, partner Frank Mummert, her brother Frank Ponte (Barbara), brother-in-law Joseph P. Gallagher (Joan) of Ohio, sisters-in-law Eileen and, Regina Gallagher of California and numerous nieces and nephews. Angela was a loving mom, grandmother, sister, and aunt who loved to spend time visiting and traveling with her daughters and granddaughter. She was a skilled seamstress, cook, baker, and crafter, and had an eye for fashion and interior decorating. All of these things were made with love. She never did anything without putting her whole heart into it.

She also loved peaceful paintings and loved to dance when she was young. One of her favorite artists was Thomas Kincade, and one of her favorite singers was Patsy Cline. She generously shared her passions with everyone she was close to, and cared about many. A few of her greatest character qualities were empathy, generosity, and warmth. The light she brought into everyone’s lives she touched will be dearly missed.

The family plans to hold a private graveside service with interment in the Gallagher Family Plot in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family also plans a celebration of life later this year for Angela’s family and friends.  Memorial contributions may be made in Angela’s memory to K9s For Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Road | Ponte Vedra, Florida 32081 or https://www.k9sforwarriors.org/recurring-single-donations
