Christopher F. Tyson 1961 - 2020

Christopher Frederick Tyson was the oldest of five children born to the Late Frederick Tyson and Doris Arlene Tyson born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 5th, 1961.  He was called home to be with the Lord on April 28th, 2020.
Christopher was educated in the Philadelphia Catholic Schools and was avid track runner.  Christopher felt his calling to serve his country at an early age and enlisted in the Army at the tender age of 17.  With Berlin, Germany being his first duty assignment, he was able to explore the world and see opportunities to broaden his horizons that most people only dream of.  During that time, he played football for his unit teams; he earned his expert infantry badge, his medical assist badge and numerous other certifications, making him eligible and qualified for several promotions.  Also, in Berlin he met and married Tanya (Jones) Tyson and had one daughter (Sheena) who traveled the world with them as a military family.  Christopher continued to pursue his career as a solider, receiving several promotions to the rank of Specialist and Sergeant.
After leaving the Army, Christopher returned to Philadelphia where he met Brigitte Neal and had a daughter Brianna Tyson. He pursued several honorable careers of service, that included Sanitation Engineer, driving public transportation for the City of Philadelphia, and eventually it culminated into a job he loved, driving long and short haul trucks over the open road.
Christopher was a free spirit who enjoyed driving his trucks cross-country and saw every job as his way of giving back to his fellow man while doing what he truly loved.
Christopher was a devoted son, a kind, gentle soul and a loving, loyal friend to all he met and accepted.  He would give you the shirt off his back even if it meant he would do without. We will remember him for his smile, up-beat personality and his ability to never meet an enemy.  He turned everyone into a friend.
He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Sheena Moriah Tyson and Brianna Krystelyn Tyson. One grandson, D’centro (KJ) Wingard, Jr, sister, Angela Tyson Eggleston, three brothers; Vincent, Anthony, and Sean Tyson; four nephews Julian, Jamere, Phoenix, Liam, one niece Monica, and one Aunt Geraldine Griffin, and a host of cousins and devoted friends.
