Sharon's Journey

Sharon was born on April 11, 1953 to Donald and Gertrude Williams. Sharon had 3 other siblings, two older sisters Donna and Gail and one younger brother Gary. She was of German, Irish and Welsh nationality. Our mother was born in Germany and came to the United States when she was only two. Our Grandparents became US Citizens one on May 11th 1938 and the other on April 27th 1943. Our Grandparents on our father's side are from Welsh nationality and our Grandmother is of Irish nationality. Our Grandparents on my father's side had 8 children and on our mothers side had 3 children. So we had lots of aunts and uncles and a bunch of cousins. Sharon's nieces and nephews loved her as she was always the fun and crazy aunt. We never knew what to expect. As Sharon and Gary were growing up they always got into some kind of mischief because they were only a year apart. One time while my mother fell asleep they gave each other haircuts. I think they were no more than 3 and 4 years old. Her sister Gail and her had a tea party under the steps of Gail's house one day (I think they were in their 20's). The kids thought they were crazy. Sharon had a sense of humor that would catch you off guard at times but always made you laugh. Even when the end was near she always tried to make it easier on everyone else. She will be missed. "She had a way about her".

Sharon was married to James Rowan, and gave birth to Lisa Marie Rowan, unfortunately that didn't last too long. That in itself is a long story. She than married Joseph Letarte and gave birth to Danielle Letarte . And last but not least married Frank Maldonado and gave birth to KC Nicole Maldonado. Unfortunately none of her marriages lasted. But she had pretty great kids.

Lisa married Doug Teague and they have six children, the oldest is Samantha whom is about to Graduate from NAU. Brandie , Melanie, Chase, Jacob and Tierden are the other kids, whom are still in school. Isley is Sharon's Great-granddaughter. Danielle has twin boys Kyle and Kurtis and also has a daughter Madison. KC has five children Rebecca, Lydia, twin girls Jessica, Kayleigh and a son Joseph. Sharon loved them all so much and knew that they all would grow up to be respectful loving adults.

Sharon graduated High School in Chicago, Illinois. She waitressed most of her adult life at the high end hotels, The Hyatt, HIlton, Pointe Tapito,. Sharon was the first woman to do room service at the Pointe Tapito. She was a hand model for the Hilton in Chicago, managed wait staff, . She was also the first flag woman in construction here in Phoenix. Sharon worked as a draftsman for AT&T without any formal training and they were amazed that she could do the job without training and do it well. Her first project was to draw a basketball court which she did with ease. She tested for Menza and they wanted her to join but she wouldn't (she told them she knew she was smart and didn't have to prove it). That's my sister...She was an artist in her own right, she could draw anything she also painted my old bathtub that I have in the back yard. She was amazing.

Unfortunately she never retired

Writing children's books, drawing, dancing, and coming up with inventions and patents.

She believed in God, she believed that there is an afterlife and life does not end at death. Love is the only thing that matters and believing in God.

Sharon's proudest moments were her kids and grandkids. And the most perfect moment was that her 1st grandchild went to college and is about to graduate. Sharon could not have been prouder of Samantha, she loved you five dollars.

Sharon had a friend named Warren, he was very good to her. He took her for her Chemo appointments and stood by her when she wasn't feeling well. We are thankful that she had such a good friend.
