Alice Jane Peterson

Alice “Jane” Peterson, 86, of Phoenix Arizona passed peacefully April 25, 2013 of natural causes.  Jane was born August 20, 1926 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to Chamberlain Roy Forney and Dorabelle Babel Forney.  She married LaVerne Peterson of Pennsylvania and they had five sons together before parting in 1975.  Jane worked as a CNA for many years until she finally retired at age 72.  She loved working with her residents and bringing smiles into their lives.  Jane enriched the lives of all she met with her sweet smile and fun loving personality.  She enjoyed watching her Diamondbacks, playing the slot machines, and most of all, spending time with her little dogs. She is survived by son David (Carolyn) of Phoenix AZ, son Philip (Christine) of Phoenix AZ, son Robert (Mary Gail) of Leonardtown MD, son Daniel of Jerome ID, and son William (Brenda) of Prescott Valley AZ.  She is also survived by siblings Charlotte (Gail) of Pennsylvania and Richard (Judy) of Pennsylvania, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Robert (Dorothy), Lee (Martha), Mary (James), Ruth (Homer), and Larry.
